|For everything there is a season......|
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill and time to heal; a time to break down and a time to build up; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to gain and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time speak ; a time to love and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Eccl. 3:1-8
For everything there is a season. we go through different things in life. whether we're facing hard situations or times where we feel God's great blessings evidently on our lives, there is a time for everything we face. yes, we face some really hard stuff....sometimes we may not think we can get through it, but when we reach the end and look back, we realize how strong we really are. by God's grace we are that much stronger. it's only through Him that we reach a strength we never knew we had. "life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it."-Lou Holtz in life, our response to the "seasons" we go through mean everything. whether you lose a loved one, face a break-up, fight off a sickness, anything....we are face trials that demand a response from those under attack. how do you i deal with hardships? how do you? our response reveals a lot about our character. where does our faith lie? where do i set my focus? who am i as a person and where do i set my sights to develop toward? every "season" we go through we need to take it as it is and look at it with the view that God brought us to so He will bring us past it. God doesn't give us more than we can handle. He knows that struggles we are faced with throughout our lives, yet He always gives us the strength to get us through. a girl once said, regarding God not giving us more than we can handle, she said that God must have thought she was pretty strong because of the trials she was faced with. we all must think this at one time or the other. sometimes we wonder if God overestimates our abilities to pull past some of the difficult things we fight in life. the funny thing is, God knows us better than we know ourselves. it us that underestimate ourselves when facing life. we don't see ourselves with the potential and strength God has given us. we need to face our "seasons" with God's ability and strength in mind, an honoring response, and an idea that God will get us through everything if we lean on His grace.
